Lauren Gallagher, Ph.D.

Co-Founder 

 

Lauren is a certified School Psychologist who lives and works in Long Island, NY.  After a childhood spent playing soccer she went on to play for the women's team at  Cornell Univeristy where she graduated with her B.A. as well as a certificate in Social Work. After teaching for two years in an inner city school in New York City, she went on to earn her Masters in Special Education and her Ph.D. in School Psychology.   While raising her two children Jackson and Gracie and working as a school psychologist, she has also been coaching boys and girls soccer for the past twleve years.  She co-founded Sync-it-Up Sports in order to combine her passion of sports with her passion for psychology and education.  

Meghan Frey
Co-Founder

Meghan is a nationally licensed coach and sports management director living in Long Island, NY.  While earning a B.A. in Business Administration & Sports Management, Meghan was a two-time All-American soccer player for Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA.  After her successful college career she went on to play at the highest levels of women’s soccer, including the women’s professional leagues both here in the U.S. as well as in England. Upon returning from England, Meghan began working for a soccer club, using her extensive knowledge gained as a player to teach children and provide structure to the player development program.  Meghan had spent over 14 years on Long Island as  both a soccer coach and Manager of a Sports Management & Events company until recently taking a Director position with a youth soccer club.  Along with Lauren, Meghan hopes to bring the lessons of developmental psychology and art of teaching to coaches, parents, and young athletes.

Lauren and Meghan founded Sync-it-Up Sports in order to connect players, coaches and parents with the psychological, social, and team-building tools necessary to develop the complete athlete within the team sport environment.
